If you loved the rakish WRX concept that bowed in New York earlier this year, the production 2015 WRX, which debuted today at the Los Angeles Auto Show, may be a slight downer: decidedly less boy-racer than its predecessors, its sculpted fender flares and unique sheetmetal only slightly disguise its Impreza rootstock. But the WRX has always been more about performance than style, anyway, and Subaru says the new car will top its predecessor on that front. The '14 WRX's 2.0-liter turbocharged boxer-four squeezes out 268 hp and 258 lb-ft -- just a little bit more than the outgoing 2.5-liter turbo-equipped car.
Volvo has rolled out the third and final concept car showcasing its new exterior design language, and dare we suggest that the Swedish firm has saved the best until last? Yes, the Concept Coupe - first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show - is the most beautiful, but there’s something about this new Concept ES Estate that really ticks our boxes. The new Mazda 6 – previewed by the Takeri Concept and due to arrive at the Paris Motor Show in September - gets its first tease from Mazda. It’s probably fair to say that we have a pretty good idea what the 2013 Mazda6 is going to look like. Mazda has been trailing the new Mazda6 with the Mazda Takeri Concept – which had a recent outing at the Geneva Motor Show in March – but now we get the first tease of what is definitely the Mazda6 and not the Takeri in a video from Mazda.
